This formula sources berberine from two complementary plant extracts to deliver a meaningful total dose of 109.26mg per tablet. The primary source is Phellodendron (Phellodendron amurense) stem bark (equivalent to 4.24g dry, standardised to 101.76mg berberine), a Traditional Chinese Medicine herb with broad antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and digestive properties. Barberry (Berberis vulgaris) stem bark (equivalent to 750mg dry, standardised to 7.5mg berberine) contributes additional berberine alongside its own traditional role in supporting liver function and relieving indigestion.
