Acetyl L-Carnitine is essential for energy production in every cell of your body, it is an important amino acid most commonly known for enabling the body to turn fat into energy and speeding up the fat burning process.
Acetyl L-Carnitine works by transporting fat, in the form of fatty acids, to the mitochondrial membrane (centre of the cell) where the fat is oxidized to produce energy through the conversion of fat to energy. Basically put, without Carnitine, the normal burning of fat in the body cannot take place.
